3. Working with GMS: Team Management & Electronic Match Cards


Team Management

The Team Management module in GMS provides all clubs with a ‘one-stop shop’ to view and manage fixtures for all teams within the Club. You are asked to use this function to record all non-league matches and fixtures for all teams below first team level|.

The module is available to all Team Managers and provides the following features:

  • View Fixtures and Results for all Teams within your Club.
  • Create or Upload manually entered Fixtures.
  • Enter Results and Match Card information for manually created Fixtures.
  • Create or Upload manually entered Fixtures.
  • Update the Match time for fixtures entered via the RFU Competition System.

Electronic Match Card

Electronic Match Card (EMC) was introduced in 2016/17 as a way of driving operational efficiency in recording match details, linked to competition integrity. It also plays a vital role in measuring progress against strategic plan ambitions of more teams, matches and players; it is key to understanding how much rugby is being played, how often and by whom.
