Huge thanks to Pontefract for booking some cracking weather this Sunday.

Definitely our most physical game of the season so far, Pontefract hit the ground running and the rucks hard! After the first quarter the team settled in and started holding their own.

Wetherby were the strongest team on the pitch in terms of technical ability and once we'd settled into the rhythm things started to come together. Some brilliant play from the team with great rucking from Harrison and Thomas P in particular had Pontefract realising that they had a match on their hands. A couple of great try's from the team finished by Thomas C had us right back in the game. Max had an outstanding game, chasing everything down as well as rucking hard and Cooper was relentless in bringing down the biggest players on their team.

Our team culture is a standout - each week different players step-up and it lifts the whole team to the next level and as each game brings a different challenge (the physicality this week) the team grows. For the third match in a row we've been complimented by our opposing coaches on our players for not just how they play, also how they hold themselves as a team.

The games will no doubt get harder (especially the return matches) and the weather will get worse, but the wolves are definitely up for it!

Leo's at home this week, lets home the sun stays out too!
