Continuing their incredible season Wetherby racked up 90 points against lowly Hornsea. Wetherby success can be judged from their record of 19 unbeaten league games scoring over 1000 points and conceding only 99. This is undoubtedly the most successful side ever.
The Reds had little pressure exerted on them by Hornsea side who had travelled with only 14 men. Wetherby chalked up 14 tries and 10 conversions.

The highlight being a try by 17 year old debutant Jack Barnthorp. He was busy in the loose and showed great courage under the high ball.
Also making his debut was Tom Belt , also 17, playing at scrum half and another product of Wetherby's fantastic youth Section. He displayed a good pass and generally directed his forwards well.

Ten players scored tries of which ten were converted these included Branthorp, Dus, Hogan, Griffiths, Hills, Sheridan, Jefferson and the Adair Brothers.

This was hardly the ideal preparation for next weeks Silver Trophy Semi Final when they expect a much sterner test from Old Modernians from a league above them at Grange Park next Saturday K O 3pm
