This should have been any easy away win for the Reds but a very slow start saw them struggling up to half time. They went ahead with a Sheriden penalty which just before half time Oaks levelled ,so they turned around all square.
After seven minutes into the second period Tom Bottomley scored a try from a rolling maul set up after a line out. Sheriden increased the lead with his second penalty. Wetherby had final woken up and Jack Kaye scored after good work by Danny Warden , Andy Trotman and Connor Sheriden..
Tom Bottomley scored his second try from another rolling maul . A brilliant pick up by Connor Sheriden , after a break by Andy Trotman enabled Will Jefferson to go over for a converted try. This completed a 27 point haul in only 18 minutes and put the game out of Oaks reach.
There was a serious injury to one of Sheffield's players and this delayed the game by 35 minutes. The Reds soon went back on the try scoring trail with two more by Andy Trotman and Connor Sheriden to make the final score 43 - 3.Their second half display was much better than the first.
Next week The Reds go to Leeds Corinthians for what will be another hard game and a must win game to secure promotion.
