A sparkling display by Wetherby brightened up a dull day in Skipton by running in 8 tries and kicking 6 conversions thus extending their marvellous run to 11 league victories to remain unbeaten this season. They have scored 710 points and conceded only 53. They lead the table by 15 points.
The win was based on forward superiority despite and industrious and at time feisty Skipton pack. The front row of Elliot Griffiths, Steve Hoather and Bradley Mason were outstanding . The pack scored 3 pushover tries from scrums and mauls. Skipper James Gibson profiting from the first after 7 minutes, Tom Hicks scored the second and Will Dutton got the third. Before half time Myles Oates' quick thinking enabled him to score after the home winger was caught in defence and was penalised. The score at the interval was 21- 0.
Creating good attacking ball the forwards let the backs do the scoring . Pressure down the left then quick hands saw Will Jefferson score wide out on the right. Conor Sheridan was unstoppable scoring twice late on and Tom Hicks who had a splendid game scored also. Conor Sheridan completed 6 conversions to bring the score to 52.
