Halifax match report (here)
Despite the late arrivals Wetherby were first on the board after Halifax were caught offside in the opening minute of the game. Myles Oates slotted the penalty to take a 3-0 lead.
Halifax hit back with a converted try, before Nick Whitehead skipped down the left wing, beating three players to feed Andrew Trotman to score under the posts. Myles Oates added the extras.
Halifax then hit back in some style and added multiple tries from there centres and back three and really shocked Wetherby in the last 60 minutes.
Wetherby's only other try came from Sean Lally who rumbled over after a maul resulting from a line out.
Wetherby take on Ossett next week and will be looking to bounce back.
