Unbeaten league leaders Wenslydale travelled to grange park looking to extend their unbeaten run but despite an initial 20 minute onslaught of the Wetherby line Wenslydale failed to overcome the staunch Wetherby Defence. Points were always going to be at a premium on this day and when wenslydale went 8-5 up early in the second half it was looking like the third game on the trot that wetherby would lose by three points. With just three minutes remaining Wetherby won a scrum in their own half to set the backs free and Paul Savage gave a beauty of a delayed pass, drawing in two defenders, that led to Danny Simpson being set free to canter under the posts for his second try and a 10-8 win. Solid team performance the lads done good.
