Wetherby finally broke their winning run with a 30-17 loss away at rawmarsh. Following a string of unavailabilities Wetherby travelled with a side including players from the 2s, vets and colts filling in the holes around the more senior players. Despite this we should have been two tries up in the first ten minutes but... fluffed some early chances which lifted the opposition who begin to excert control and surprisingly released some rapid backs with which they scored 3 of their 4 tries down the wing that we had to fill with the coach in first half and vets flanker in second.

Highlights included some very good back play with strong performances from Rowan and Jo and a debut try for Tom from the colts. In summary four points that we should have had in the bag.

Big appreciation also to taff for filling the hocker role and playing through the pain barrier, Paul in the second row for a dominat forward display and teddy and charles for going 80 minutes against one of the better front rows they will come up against, although this was made easier after stringer managed to dammage their main prop. Also have to mention Charles's eye popping hand off another stone off and an agresion pill and this lad will be busting big holes regually - RW
