The RFU recently released an updated e-course for Concussion Awareness. This course is free, available to anyone 14 or over, and is a mandatory requirement for all volunteers.
In this course you will learn what concussion is, how it looks and how it feels. You will see how you can prevent it: look at best practice concussion management and why it is important to you and your team that you follow this.
By the end of the course you will have a better understanding of concussion, the obstacles to delivering best practice management and how YOU have a vital role to play in protecting player welfare. At the end of the course there are resources to download to use in your club/school/college/university or referee society.
The information in this course is applicable to understanding and management of conussion across a range of roles, including: coach/match official/teacher/parent/first aider and players aged 15 and upwards.
