Wetherby RUFC are looking for a forwards coach for the forthcoming season.

Wetherby RUFC is looking for a forwards coach to work with the men’s senior teams in the 2019/20 season. Wetherby have enjoyed a resurgence in the senior section over the last 5 years, with the 1st XV currently playing in the highly competitive Yorkshire 2 (Tier 8) and were finalists in the Yorkshire Silver Trophy in 2019. The 2nd XV play in a competitive merit league and we also field an occasional Vets XV throughout the season. The club has around 70 to 80 playing members and train twice a week with games every Saturday. Our aims for the 2019/20 season are:

1st XV
• Top 4 league finish.
• Progress to final of Yorkshire Silver Trophy.
• Transition developing players into the 1st XV environment.

2nd XV
• Improved league performance.
• Improved player engagement to aid availability.
• Develop ability of players for future in the 1st XV.

Requirements:
We hope to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate forwards coach that will maximise the ability of our established forwards, whilst being able to develop the skill-set of new and inexperienced players. The coach would be expected to design and deliver sessions twice a week and attend match days on a Saturday afternoon. We require a coach who is willing to implement a structured forward pack, with experience in coaching and developing both line-outs and scrummages. We hope to build a strong relationship with our coach, in order to maximise the potential of our fantastic Club.

Training is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-8.30pm at Wetherby Rugby Club, Grange Park, Old Boston Road, Wetherby, LS22 5NB.

Payment will be delivered per hour. Support with future training courses and further training hours for our other teams may be available for the right candidate.
