Pontefract have been hotly tipped to be promotion contenders at the end of the season, but are coming off a 20-12 loss against Old Rishworthians last weekend. Wetherby have made a good start to life in Yorkshire Two having picked up three wins out of there opening five games, having lost by 2 points or less in there other two. Wetherby are coming off the back of a disappointing loss against Roundhegians in a game they feel they should have won.

Pontefract have been in fine scoring form this season, and have been touted as having the best back line in the league. The Red's will have to match them in this department if they are to get anything out of this game.

Elsewhere in Yorkshire Two, Old Rishworthians host Moortown in a 1st vs 2nd battle. The Red's could move up to second place if results go there way.
