Wetherby travel to face familiar foes as they travel to Thornesians in the opening round of fixtures in Yorkshire Two.

Thornesians were promoted as runners up in Yorkshire Three last season and will be looking to be the first team in 54 league games to beat the Red's.

Last season saw Thorne and Wetherby battle it out three times, with the Red's picking up two victories in the league, with Thorne winning the Yorkshire Silver Trophy, beating the Red's 18-13 in a gripping final.

The Red's have made two enforced changes from the side that beat Keighley 31-0 in the opening round of the Yorkshire Shield, with James Gibson and Johnny Wheatley coming into replace the unavailable Rob Adair and Andrew Trotman.
