Last year's losing finalists of the Yorkshire Silver Trophy, Wetherby, enter the Yorkshire Shield where they face Keighley RUFC who lost in the semi final of the competition last season.

Keighley were recently promoted to Yorkshire One, and Wetherby's club captain Danny Warden expects a tough game which will set a real marker for the season a head.

Wetherby have only had one preseason game in which they rolled over Ponteland last weekend. Keighley beat Wheatley Hills in there only preseason game.

Wetherby have selected a strong 18 man squad for the game which sees Jack Radcliffe set to make his debut.

Kick off is at 3:00pm at Grange Park.

Instructions

Meet is at 1300 at the club and please make sure that you all wear the correct attire which will be trousers/ jeans with shirt, club blazer and club tie this year without fail or you will be fined.
Responsibilities for the day are as follows;
Scotty Walliis and Mattie Chappel on packing shirts up, bagging them and putting them into the gym after the game. Matt Harrison and Liam is on match balls (in and out), filling water bottles and bringing water bottles in and out.
