Jonathan Hirst was delighted to receive two additional cheques from Kerry Shaw of Yorkshire Building Society as a further demonstration of support of the local community and Wetherby RUFC specifically.

Yorkshire Building Society are the main club sponsor for 2013 - 2016 seasons and have provided much needed financial help in the past kitting out the burgeoning girls rugby team. The current support includes pitch side advertising and also some much needed funds to provide branded gazebos for the mini age groups.

Speaking of the sponsorship that YBS have given to Wetherby RUFC, Jonathan Hirst commented "The support that Yorkshire Building Society are providing to grass roots sport here at Wetherby is amazing. We have been able to achieve so much with the help of YBS and as a result of the improved playing facilities, shirts and kit, we have attracted an unprecedented number of players who all want to get in to rugby and stay fit. We wouldn't have been able to achieve all of this without their support."

Wetherby RUFC are 2 years in to a 5 year strategy to transform the club. With the first team flying high at the top of their division and a number of junior and mini teams competing with the best in the area the future is certainly looking bright.
